Mr. Zakir Ahmed Khan
The Governing Body of Southeast Bank Green Foundation elected Mr. Zakir Ahmed Khan as Member of the School Management Committee of Southeast Bank Green School in their 3rd Meeting held on Sunday, March 01, 2020. Mr. Khan did BA (Hons) and Masters in Economics from Dhaka University in 1968. He had graduate study in Development Economics and Development Administration as a Hubert Humphrey North-South Fellow at Colorado State University, USA. He also did Master of Business Admnistration from Vrijie Universiteit, Brussels,Belgium.
During his 38 years of public service Mr. Khan held various senior level positions in the Ministries of Finance, Commerce, Establishment, Energy, Civil Aviation and Tourism, Cabinet Division and Bangladesh Audit and Accounts Department. He served as Finance Secretary and Secretary, Internal Resources Division and Chairman, National Board of Revenue for five years. He also briefly worked for a number of UN Agencies. Prior to his retirement in early 2009, he served as Alternate Executive Director of the World Bank for three and a half years.
Because of his excellent academic background and wide experience in the related field, it is expected that he will be able to contribute significantly to the qualitative improvement of the Bank in his capacity as Advisor.
